Mistakes, Fact-Checking and Journalist Integrity

I see that I'm writing so fast that when I later check stuff, I see that I was wrong. Or that there are other sides of the story.

I went back and added to Weird Weather.

But I think to maintain some integrity. I should post a new blog like this and say that I corrected the old one.

Also, it seems that I exaggerate or am maybe a little melodramatic because I'm playing to this captive audience I now have. I'm actually really aware of this--so on Wednesday and Thursday, I was trying hard to play it cool. But I actually was cool and not freaked out. And as you can see, my emotional state has changed significantly over these past five days. How authentic is it? I don't know. Maybe I'm just a big liar, playing to this audience. I don't know. But I am aware. Shoot, nothing's perfect. I'm just writing and posting. Sometimes I read it over.

So it seems that I said that they were bombing Marjayuun today, but Marjayuun isn't the South-south where they were bombing. But I actually need to do more fact-checking on that.
