That means "God be with you." Usually I say it to the servees (taxi) driver when I get out of the car. But now I say it to everyone. Any of these interactions could be the last time I'll see any of these people for a while. (But just for a while, because of course I'm coming back to Lebanon.)
The last of the boarding kids left just now, 4 of them. A Saudi, an Egyptian, an Iraqi, and a Korean. They're all going to try to go with the Saudi convoy to Damascus. They say the Saudis are good with the Egyptians, but we're not sure if they'll take Henry and Amr along too. It was really sad saying goodbye, and wishing for God to be with them.

Wael just came back from the Syrian Embassy in Beirut. The Saudis are taking all the kids. They have 1000 people they're taking on buses to Syria.
