Arrived to Syria

Okay, so I just got an e-mail from the American girl who went with the diplomatic envoy to Syria this morning. It's 10:50 p.m. now.

This morning she said she would head straight to Amman, Jordan and wait things out before returning to Lebanon. She's doing dissertation research.

But the e-mail said. "Syria isn't looking very good either. Am thinking of just flying back to the US for awhile." I asked her to elaborate on that.

I heard the place is all crowded (duh). The hotels are full. People are sleeping on the streets. And of course, the Syrians are tyring to make a buck off the people and taking advantage of the situation. (Again, duh. . . )

Some even say, this all happened so Syria could get Lebanon's tourists. As if Hizbollah loves Syria more than Lebanon. I won't believe that. But yeah, Hizbollah did a horrible thing doing this now. Couldn't they have waited a couple months? Those prisoners have been languishing in Israeli jails for years anyways. . . what a sick kind of logic.
