What the hell??? (Freaked-Out Reaction to CNN coverage)

I just saw the breaking news on CNN saying that the U.S. wants to bring its troops here to coordinate the mass evacuation of U.S. citizens. What the hell??? Are they crazy??? Was this the plan all along? Something like Iraq? Destroy a country, send in the troops?? This is going to escalate everything.

Americans are retards. They don't know what the hell they're doing. Sending in a team of 10-20 military experts who don't know crap about the Middle East. CNN reminded the viewers about 1984 when the U.S. sent in their Marines. Of course they f--- everything up and 241 died.

I don't want to have anything to do with an American mass evacuation, and I don't want to have to look at a dumb American with a gun in Lebanon.

Do they really think Hizbollah is just going to give Americans the green card to come in and do this crap?? How stupid.

I think I'll head with the Brazilian family next door to Syria. The best time to move will be in these days when they're evacuating Americans. I got an invitation to stay with someone in Istanbul. That happens to be the place where the Brazilian government said they'd fly out their people. It's only about a 20-hour bus ride from Beirut.

Damn. I still need to get my passport. Tomorrow morning, first thing, to the General Security office.

Pray for me. For wisdom. For what to do.

Come on--doesn't this whole American mass exodus thing seem like a horrible idea?

I'll go to my friend's house to get the scoop from the local news. Maybe they'll have a different spin. The Embassy isn't telling us anything. We just have to watch the news like everyone else. You guys are finding out stuff before me.

The warden for the U.S. embassy sent out a text message (which I didn't receive) telling us to watch the news. (The warden is the volunteer who serves as the contact person for the U.S. Embassy with the U.S. citizens in a certain section of Lebanon.) This is the most non-contact I've received from the Embassy. But, I guess they're busy right now. They're working on the plan, and obviously making a big show of it on CNN.
